Rachael Yamagata’s Latest album, Elephants…Teeth Sinking Into Heart, was released last September and somehow I didn’t discover it until December or so. Her first album, Happenstance, is one of my absolute favorite albums and Elephants… definitely does not disappoint. It’s divided up into two parts. The first nine songs are brooding and soulful. The last five are anthemic tunes. The two songs below are two of my favorites from the album but all fourteen songs are mind-blowing. The sixth song, Duet, includes ex-boyfriend Ray LaMontagne, who is also an amazing singer and musician. I’ll have to post some stuff from his latest album soon.
