What’s scares me most about Obama is not Obama himself. It’s the HATE that his followers have for those that aren’t with the program. That’s terrifying. I don’t believe in his political views what-so-ever. I didn’t care for Bush either. Okay? So I’m no blind, right-wing, crazy conservative, nor am I racist. I don’t agree with Obama. I think his true goals are far from what he talks about in public. The man is a downright nightmare as president of our United States of America. But his followers? His lemmings? Oh man… don’t get in their way or say anything against Obama or anything about him or his “goals”. He is Jesus, Buddha, Mandala, Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Muhammad, John, Paul, George and Ringo all rolled into one.

You’re either with us or against us.

What’s that statement say to you? Yet, I hear it constantly from the followers of Obama.

Frightening. Terrifying. Horrifying. It’s time for some serious time with the movie Brazil Obama: Savior, Hero, Great Leader, Perfection Incarnate?, and the books 1984 Obama: Savior, Hero, Great Leader, Perfection Incarnate?, Animal Farm Obama: Savior, Hero, Great Leader, Perfection Incarnate?, Brave New World Obama: Savior, Hero, Great Leader, Perfection Incarnate?, etc, etc. Fear mongering? Me? No. I couldn’t care less for conspiracy theorists or all the bull of Obama being yet another Illuminati member in office and all that crap. I’m a patriot. I love my country. Many men and women worked hard to build this nation. And now… so many men and women want the country to work hard to take care of them. That’s not how it works. It leads to fascism. It leads to lazy idiots letting the government do all the thinking for them. It’s giving up every right and freedom this nation was founded on.

But, whatever… right? Life’s hard and what’s so wrong with the government helping out just a little here, and there… and there, and with this, and that… and oh yeah, this too, and don’t forget about this one either. Ahhhhh.

Wow! That’s was my initial impression of XSEED Games’ The Wizard of OZ: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road in just a few minutes of play-time after a friend had mentioned he’d given it a try and he was surprisingly impressed.

The Media.Vision developed title is a simple and linear turn-based RPG inspired by the tale of Dorothy and her magical journey through the Land of Oz, revealing a new perspective on what happened after reaching the end of the Yellow Brick Road. The Wizard of OZ is not really a source I’d think to use for an entertaining RPG but Media.Vision has definitely pulled off something unique and incredibly fun. The whole game is controlled entirely with the stylus using a track ball and a few buttons on the bottom screen. The graphics are bright and beautiful. Compared to traditional Japanese console RPGs it’s a bit simple, but it’s got more than enough depth to pull in hard-core fans and keep their attention.

So I purchased Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time Mario & Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story a few years ago for my Nintendo DS. I enjoyed it, played through about half of it and got distracted for one reason or another before I ever finished it. Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story Mario & Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story
was just recently released by Nintendo and this time… Nintendo absolutely nailed it. I finished Bowser’s Inside Story within a week. The artwork, gameplay and the dialogue (yeah) really kept the game fresh.

Fawful, the villian’s villain in the game, causes Bowser to inhale and swallow Princess Peach, Mario, Luigi and a whole cast of others. Working with Browser Mario & Luigi must solve puzzles and challenges behind the scenes to help Bowser overcome various obstacles and advance the plot. Fawful must be defeated to save Princess Peach, the Mushroom Kingdom as well as the whole world!

I definitely give Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story for Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi a good, solid 9.5 out of 10.

IntenseDebate takes comments to the next level.” That’s the slogan right on the IntenseDebate front page. Since it was purchased by Automattic I figured I’d give it a good ol’ try when I posted my new theme a while ago. I love how it does threads, has user profiles, reputation scores, etc. But what it does not have is halfway decent spam detection. You’d think with it running through Automattic’s Akismet spam filters it would have fantastic spam destroying abilities… but alas, it does not. Spam control through IntenseDebate is absolutely, incredibly horrible!

So, I yanked IntenseDebate today. I’ll need to repair the style sheets for comments now that we’re back to the standard WordPress comment system. That’ll probably not happen ’til Monday. But I can handle “ugly” comments for a few days. Spam sitting in moderation reaching such great heights as 4,000+ I can’t handle. It was driving me away from spending any time on Casual Hex.

I’m gonna dig in, repair the styling for comments, rewrite Viper’s Video Quicktags to my own liking and patch a few other things and get back into blogging again. It’ll be fun. Really. For me, anyhow.

Maybe some day I’ll give IntenseDebate a try again. I know Automattic will get the spam issues fixed… I just can’t leave it running here on Casual Hex until they do.

It’s been a while since I updated here. It’s not for a lack of things to write about. Instead, it’s keeping the plug-ins updated, keeping WordPress itself up to date and trying (with poor results) to keep the spam comments cleared out. Yeah, none of the spam is actually showing up on the live site but I’ve currently got 3,453 comments awaiting approval because all are suspected spam… accurately.

So, what do I do? I’m thinking maybe I’ll give posterous.com a chance. Or something similar. I dunno what I’ll do. I enjoy building sites, but I hate the maintenance involved in keeping a site going. I had more than enough of that when I was running my Game Boy site years ago.
