Argh! But in a good way…
See, I was digging through all of my running processes trying to figure out what the heck has been slowing my system down lately. While I have yet to figure that out, I did end up on a journey that led me through lands never before seen…
I read the instructions for an app.
GASP!
Yeah. See, I was all ready to dump iClip because I rarely ever use it. I could and should and it’s there, always loaded when I log in. But I never remember to use it. I installed it to keep up with the many hundreds of clippings I go through daily from copying, cutting and pasting. You know, in case I lose something or forget what I was working on. But I never remember to go to iClip to get that info so… why have it load?
So I closed it. And I started to uninstall it. I had AppZapper all ready to go and then… I started thinking that maybe I shouldn’t do that. I’d give it one more chance. So I re-loaded it and went through the preferences to give it a thorough looking over. Whaddaya know? There’s something about clipping sets in there and other things!! So I had to open the help file and I starting reading and reading and reading.
iClip does so much more than store all of the stuff I copy and paste all day! I can store stuff in sets and keep my info organized, and, and, and… Heck, just storing code snippets will be extremely useful. No more untitled TextMate windows open all over the place with 3-4 lines of code in each.
I’m keeping iClip… and I highly recommend it based on what I now know about it.
