“Mamma, I want you to sue Daddy for custody.”

My wife’s ex-husband failed a very important test last night. Before the ex realizes it he’s gonna have his kids sliding past anger and disappointment right into permanent hatred. He’s a controller and a manipulator. Don’t do as he wants? He leaves ya feeling like he might not love you any more if you don’t get in line. When I found out all of the details from Christy.. ah man, it kinda knocked me breathless. I know the ex is a jerk. Christy more than knows it. But the kids? I.. always felt they’d figure it out on their own.. some day.. but hearing that the oldest said the above last night.. makes me feel all yucky inside. Unfortunately the ex doesn’t do anything that’s physically provable. No, his work is almost magical— he’s all shiny on the outside, kind, considerate and loved by all that don’t know him well enough, but when no one is looking he strikes like a viper, emotionally and mentally poisoning your soul. So, now the oldest knows his Daddy is an ass. And that sorta sucks..
