I don’t know what I have but it came out of nowhere Tuesday afternoon and I don’t feel like doing anything other than wrapping myself up with a million blankets and taking a nap on the sun. I’m constantly freezing and aching so horribly. Earlier today I thought I was beginning to feel better. But the my freezing switched to boiling and I was sweating. Now I’m back to freezing again this evening. I’m so tired of sitting (or laying, rather) around doing absolutely nothing. I can’t read, I can’t enjoy video games, watch TV… I don’t feel like doing anything. This has an ending, right? Right? Maybe I’ll be better by Monday…

Last night while sitting at the TV playing my way through the Bowser Cup in Super Mario Striker it hit me that the Doctor Who Christmas episode was probably online for download somewhere. After a minute or two of searching for the torrent and setting the download to proceed I want back to playing my video game. After I lost the Bowser Cup (dang flipping mean Bowser team beat me in the final game) I checked by with the progress of my download. Woohoo! It was already finished!

The episode in itself was alright. It wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great. But it was a fantastic introduction to the tenth Doctor– David Tennant. I can’t wait to see next season. :)

I think I have successfully upgraded to WordPress 2.0. Now, that may not necessarily be true. I did re-enable a few plugins that I was using before that may not be 100% compatible with WP2 so who knows what could happen? But for now, it appears to have been a simple, easy, incredibly smooth transition. Most of my side panel preferences are already back in, I just need to do something with the header image or go with a whole new theme all-together.

Then again, this new caching feature is getting in the way when I make changes and want to see them. For now, I have to edit an entry to see anything new. I’ll get a solution soon enough, I supposed.

It’s been a while since I posted anything here. I’ve been so busy with many different things. We moved across town in November into a nice 3 bedroom house. We had movers this time, which was great. They only moved the big or heavy items, we did the rest, but that was a huge time saver for us. Of course, they did scratch up a few things, broke the keyboard drawer (now fixed) on my desk and broke the back of my recliner, but… I’m not annoyed, really (yes I am). Pictures of the house soon, maybe. We squeezed in Thanksgiving with Christy’s mom and stepdad. It was a rather nice break. My mom ordered a turkey and many goodies from a local grocery for us to enjoy instead of trying to cook everything with a few hundred boxes spread out everywhere. The busted dishwasher, painting, busted sewer line (thanks to the silver maples) and many other unexpected surprises didn’t even trip us up too much.

The kids are doing great. Noah, age 5, has become a master at Bop-It Extreme. His high score of one (maybe two) for many months of attempts have now been beaten with a — drum roll — new high score of 85! Soon he’ll be making my score of 141 look shameful. He amazes me at everything he puts his mind to. Micah, age 7, is doing great with his reading, even if he still hates it, his grades are back up with scores of 100 becoming regular again. Whew. He’s also signed up for indoor soccer in January at the YMCA. I’m not so sure how well indoor soccer will work, but it’s worth a try. He’s just ready to play any sort of soccer he can. We’re hoping to get him involved with Huntsville Kicks in the spring. Drew, age 12, is involved in his first year of school basketball after many years of rec league. He’s improved amazingly this year. He’s faster and more sure of himself. He’s really getting into exploring our new neighborhood. As soon as we had his bike over here he was off riding around more than ever before. And at night, when he couldn’t ride he was off walking. The park down the street has all three kids excited with the playground, basketball court and a nice big soccer field. I’ve only had time to go down there once with them but I want to go back soon, after we get the unpacking done.

Can’t wait for Christmas! Only 19 days away! The kids are excited. Christy is excited (and her big, giant tree finally has a nice window view). Maybe we’ll have everything unpacked and in its proper place by Christmas. Maybe.
